Entrusting your keys to someone—like a car technician or valet—can instill fear in a car owner. Sadly, for the proprietor of a 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, that decision morphed into a genuine nightmare. Aboard camera footage captured the instance when a valet opted for an exhilarating joyride in the splendid Blackwing… only to encounter an entirely unexpected collision.

A clip from the car’s personal Performance Data Recorder was shared on YouTube by an NBC affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia, credited to Joe Luck. As per the video description, Luck observed the valet attendant parking his vehicle in front of the eatery and assumed it was secure. However, the footage illustrates the car being started again and driving off into traffic, paving the way for the fateful crash.

Down the street, the valet halts to maneuver a wide U-turn across the four-lane roadway. Midway through, the camera captures an abrupt stop—a Dodge Challenger slamming on its brakes. The Dodge collides with the Cadillac, causing it to spin as the valet utters incessant expletives (albeit censored).

The video showcases various angles of the collision, including the rear fender camera, yet omitting the impact moment. External footage following the crash reveals the left side’s rear fender and door severely crushed, suggesting possible interior rear damage. However, the extent of the harm remains indiscernible from the exterior, leaving uncertainty regarding the unibody’s condition.

National Parking, the valet service, issued a declaration stating the dismissal of the culpable employee. It remains ambiguous whether the car is a total loss or if the organization’s insurance is efficiently managing the claim. Undoubtedly, this incident is an overwhelmingly exasperating ordeal for the Cadillac’s owner.
