Manufacturing of Infiniti’s luxurious sports sedan has commenced at the Tochigi facility. As the 2018 model rolls out, it introduces dual exterior aesthetics—a performance-oriented design specific to the Sport variants, distinguishing them from other iterations of the model line.
Infiniti aims to astonish with their latest executive sedan. Roland Krueger, the chairman and global president of Infiniti, expressed, “The quality and capabilities of the new Q50 are outstanding and align with Infiniti’s stringent standards. Our team of engineers and manufacturers is scaling up production, eagerly anticipating the delivery of vehicles to customers worldwide.”
The flagship Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 model, equipped with the potent VR30 engine, is poised to offer an exhilarating performance. The 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine was honored in the prestigious 2017 Ward’s “10 Best Engines” list, boasting up to 400 horsepower in its highest trim level.
Featuring a revamped interior design and cutting-edge, driver-centric technologies, Infiniti aims to further capitalize on its sales momentum. Since the initial version hit the market in 2013, Infiniti has vended nearly 210,000 units worldwide. In 2016, global sales for Infiniti surpassed 230,000 units—a 7 percent surge compared to the previous year, marking a new global sales milestone, with the Q50 sports sedan constituting one-third of the brand’s overall sales.
