Ricardo, a UK-based engineering consultancy, and Wuzheng, a Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer, have entered into a strategic partnership to explore and create powertrains for electric tractors and agricultural machinery.
Together, the two companies will explore innovative technologies and more effective powertrains for Wuzheng’s lineup of agricultural equipment.
Ricardo’s extensive global team of automotive engineers and experts in energy transition will assist Wuzheng in developing smart tractors and hybrid extended-range tractors. They will also offer technical guidance on incorporating intelligent power shift transmissions and advancing hybrid extended-range transmission systems and power take-off mechanisms. Additionally, the collaboration will investigate the potential for joint work on automatic transmission products for agricultural machinery.
