Emerson’s Test and Measurement division (formerly known as NI) has revealed notable upgrades to its primary software offerings, including NI LabVIEW. During a recent event tailored for clients and collaborators, Emerson presented its latest developments in NI hardware and software, aimed at boosting engineers’ productivity.
“Our distinctive value proposition for customers lies in our software-focused, modular hardware approach to testing, which sets us apart,” stated Ritu Favre, Group President of Emerson’s Test and Measurement division. “We are thrilled to unveil our strategy for leveraging the potential of AI in test and measurement and to continue our dedication to enhancing our top-of-the-line NI products.”
The most recent version of NI LabVIEW emphasizes collaborative engineering workflows, incorporating new functionalities like enhancements in diff and merge features, version control, and compatibility with calling.NET Core Assemblies (.NET 8).
Originally introduced in 2019, the NI LabVIEW Community Edition is now freely available for students. Portions of NI LabVIEW, starting with the Icon Editor, will also transition to open-source status.
A novel offering, NI InstrumentStudio Professional, is set to debut in July, expanding the capabilities of the PXI companion software InstrumentStudio to encompass a broader spectrum of the electronic validation process, encompassing automation and measurement customization. Designed to complement LabVIEW and TestStand, InstrumentStudio Pro will be automatically activated for LabVIEW+ suite license holders.
Emerson has introduced a range of new products to its NI PXI hardware catalogue, including the NI PXIe-5633 Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) add-on module, the PXIe-6571 Digital Pattern Instrument, and a series of fresh controllers powered by 11th-generation Intel Core processors.
