Bryan Salamone is somewhat renowned in the supercar circuit for cruising around in a vibrant pink Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster with reflective accents. Unfortunately, Salamone and his prized Lamborghini were caught up in a fiery collision in New York a few days back. Salamone had to be airlifted from the incident, and though he is alive, his current state remains uncertain.
As reported by YouTuber LambroSteve, who witnessed the incident, Salamone was overtaking vehicles in the middle lane of the highway when another car clipped him. This caused his Lamborghini to swerve, catch fire, and then get struck by another vehicle. Per Salamone’s Instagram account, managed by an associate, a bystander rescued Salamone from the burning vehicle and another bystander applied pressure to his wounds. The swift actions of these individuals may have saved his life.
Salamone initially practiced as a divorce attorney in New York, but his passion for supercars and international rallying led to appearances on MTV’s Cop Cars and Superstars and Netflix’s The Fastest Car. His flashy Lambo even made an appearance in Free Guy, Ryan Reynolds’ 2021 comedy. He is known for his flamboyant style, sporting outfits as vivid as his vehicles, adorned with diamond jewelry, and hosting extravagant events. Not as publicized as his cars, Salamone’s philanthropic endeavors are noteworthy. He has raised over $1 million for various charities and is a strong advocate for Toys for Tots and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Currently, it remains uncertain if Salamone was participating in a rally at the time of the accident, as he frequented various cross-country rallies such as Gumball and goldRush. Given the presence of other exotic vehicles on the highway near the accident site, this is a plausible scenario, yet nothing is definitive.
Salamone’s Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster was only a few months old and came in a metallic pink hue with rainbow sparkle straight from the factory. He then added the mirror accents, wheels, and various other modifications. The interior boasted silver leather with pink highlights and stitching. Its 6.5-liter V12 engine produced 759 horsepower, enabling it to achieve 0-60 mph in under three seconds.
The online supercar community has been showing support to Salamone and his team. He was a well-liked figure in the community, particularly on the East Coast, hence the flood of support doesn’t come as a surprise. Fortunately, it appears that his injuries were not life-threatening.
