Botrista, the creator of a data-centric, automated beverage system, has concluded its Series C funding round, amassing a total of $120 million in capital. This investment emphasizes Botrista’s expanding presence in the dining industry and mirrors a shifting environment for chilly beverage selections, fueled by worldwide demand for inventive and top-notch choices, as per an official statement.
Established in 2017, Botrista has collaborated with eateries in 37 states. Their system enables eateries to provide a broad array of sought-after cold beverages, ranging from boba teas and revitalizers to smoothies, milkshakes, and artisan coffees, all distributed from a solitary apparatus.
This solution has drawn the attention of major entities in the food provision sector, such as Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), the principal financier in the Series C round. JFC, an international eatery corporation with 18 brands across 33 nations, perceives considerable potential in Botrista.
Sean Hsu, Chief Executive Officer of Botrista and former Tesla mechanization engineer, conveyed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with JFC: “JFC’s backing substantiates the vision for a more stimulating beverage list. This fresh influx of funds will power our accelerated expansion into new sectors and support more of our associates in upgrading their drink list without augmenting work or intricacy.”
“Botrista is a paradigm shift for the beverage sector,” Dr. Tony Tan Caktiong, JFC chairman, expressed in the official statement. “We are investing in a firm that empowers food provision operators to offer a world-class patron experience and affords significant prospects for enduring lucrative expansion.”
Botrista intends to deploy the capital to satisfy the demand for its system. Finances will be channeled towards further enhancing AI technology to conceive data-triggered beverage selections and towards exploration and innovation to diversify beverage choices and acquire top-tier ingredients from global providers.
“We presently cater to associates in 37 states, encompassing nationwide bistro chains, solo eateries, college premises, cinema halls, amusement parks, and other non-standard locations,” Jason Valentine, lead strategist for Botrista, mentioned in the press release. “The timing of this fundraising blends seamlessly with the heightened interest from fresh associates and substantial intrigue from blossoming restaurant labels on a global stage.”
