Bentley Motors has announced that it will launch its first electric vehicle (EV) in 2025, as part of an ambitious initiative called the “Five-in-Five” plan. This strategy aims to introduce a new electric model each year for five years, culminating in five new EVs by 2030.
While the automaker has not disclosed specifics about these upcoming electric models, it is reasonable to speculate that three of them will likely be electric versions or successors of Bentley’s current flagship models: the Bentayga SUV, the Flying Spur sedan, and the Continental GT.
All five electric vehicles, including the 2025 debut model, will be designed and developed in-house at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe. This initiative is part of the company’s broader investment of $3.4 billion aimed at promoting sustainable luxury vehicle production. This investment not only focuses on electrifying Bentley’s offerings but also on enhancing sustainability across its manufacturing processes.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Bentley plans to increase the number of solar panels at its headquarters from 30,000 to 40,000 within the next two years. Additionally, the company is exploring sustainable biofuels to reduce the environmental impact of its Heritage Collection.
