Chief Marcella Lendacky has officially named the new K9 for the Wilkes-Barre Police Department as Chase!

Congratulations to Seth Gulich from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, who won the grand prize in the MotorWorld Group’s naming contest. Gulich’s name submission for “Chase” was selected at random from all entries, earning him a reward of $500 in Visa gift cards.

The MotorWorld Group K9 Naming Contest began in early August. The contest followed a generous donation of $15,000 made by MotorWorld Toyota to the Wilkes-Barre Police Department in July, which was used to acquire a new police dog for the K9 unit.
