As per a spokesperson from Stellantis, the program is available globally for all Alfa Romeos, with the service being feasible from virtually any location; Alfa is willing to dispatch a team from Italy to your address—provided all expenses are covered by you. While exact pricing details are yet to be released by Stellantis, given the prestigious status of the probable clientele—early Alfa owners who are notably affluent—it certainly won’t come cheap.
Stellantis spokesperson Nick Cappa mentioned, “Pricing for the services will vary greatly based on the certifications sought by the customer and the location of the vehicle.”
It’s plausible to assume that individuals seeking all-inclusive service for a vintage Italian racer are more focused on quality than cost.
The program will provide two tiers of certification and restoration. The first, known as the Certificate of Origin, will validate the Alfa through production records and original certification details, encompassing model specifications, serial numbers, interior and exterior specifics. (Hopefully, there’s an elegant certificate included.)
The second tier is the Certificate of Authenticity, which delves deeper. Specialists in heritage will thoroughly authenticate the vehicle, conducting inspections on all mechanical components either at the customer’s location, or in Mirafiori, Rome, or Palermo, Italy, likely to maintain the car’s value and prestige at events like Pebble Beach. (I hope there’s a more exquisite certificate provided.)
Alfa Romeo has stated that they will introduce the Classiche program on their website, granting us a glimpse into how the elite class manages maintenance for their ancient and luxurious vehicles.
