Competition in GT3 customer racing is among the most accessible forms of professional motorsport, enabling those with sufficient funds to buy a car and team to participate in major championships like the Pirelli World Challenge. Acura is one of the latest brands to enter this arena, having introduced its NSX GT3 last year. The NSX achieved impressive results during its inaugural season, securing two victories in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. In an effort to share this success, Honda is now making the NSX GT3 available for purchase.
On Thursday, Acura announced that the NSX GT3 can now be purchased for approximately $540,000, based on a conversion from €465,000. The Honda Performance Department is currently accepting orders in North America, alongside MUGEN handling sales in Japan, while JAS Motorsport will soon take orders from other countries.
The NSX GT3 comes with an impressive track record, having competed across many of North America’s top racing venues, with early wins at the Detroit Street Circuit and Watkins Glen. Acura states that the carbon-fiber race car meets qualifications for many FIA championships, such as the Blancpain GT, Pirelli World Challenge, and Intercontinental GT Series.
For those with the financial means looking to indulge in GT3 racing, the NSX GT3 should definitely be a top contender on their list.
