Lisa Nelms and Annie Reape Join Torc Robotics’ HR Team with Extensive Experience
BLACKSBURG, Va – Oct. 24, 2024 – Torc Robotics, an independent subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG and a leader in advancing self-driving vehicle technology, has announced the appointments of two new vice presidents. Annie Reape will serve as Vice President of Global Talent Management, while Lisa Nelms takes on the role of Vice President of HR Operations.
In her new position, Reape will be part of the senior leadership team, focusing on guiding Torc’s global talent management initiatives. Her primary goal will be to support, develop, and retain top talent within the company. She will play a key role in aligning global talent strategies with Torc’s growth plans, while also promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Meanwhile, Nelms will also join the senior leadership team, tasked with managing and streamlining the daily operations and processes of Torc’s HR function. Her responsibilities will include enhancing employee engagement, overseeing HR technologies, and ensuring a supportive workplace as Torc continues to innovate in the autonomous trucking industry.
Both Nelms and Reape will report directly to Jamie Swaim, the Chief People Officer at Torc.

With 16 years in the field, Nelms possesses significant expertise in HR technology. She has a strong history of successfully implementing HR transformations and maximizing organizational effectiveness. Prior to joining Torc, Nelms was the VP of HR Modernization at Cognizant and led the HR Transformation Practice at DXC Technology. In these positions, she created integrated HR programs, advanced business modernization, and facilitated cross-functional collaboration.
Reape brings two decades of HR leadership and organizational development experience, excelling in evolving global talent management strategies and improving organizational efficacy. Her previous roles include positions at Fortune Brands Water Innovations and Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, where she managed teams through intricate HR system implementations, strategic talent development, and organizational change initiatives.
This announcement follows Jamie Swaim’s recent appointment as Chief People Officer.
