Nissan’s latest model, the 2018 Pathfinder, is set to receive significant technological enhancements.
Following last year’s crucial redesign, the 2018 Pathfinder will introduce the Rear Door Alert feature. This innovative system will remind drivers of items in the backseat, particularly aiming to prevent children from being accidentally left in hot cars.
Additionally, the Pathfinder will be equipped as standard with automatic emergency braking—a safety feature that Nissan is planning to include across more than one million of its vehicles for this model year. This move reflects Nissan’s ambition to enhance vehicle safety, drawing inspiration from Volvo’s commitment to crash prevention.
Starting at $30,790, the 2018 Pathfinder will be available in four trim levels, offering both front- and four-wheel drive options. A fully equipped Platinum 4WD model can reach a price of up to $44,010. New exterior color options, including Scarlet Ember (red) and Midnight Pine (light gray), have been added to the Pathfinder’s lineup. Nissan is also exploring additional packages and features, with further announcements to come.
The SL trim, priced at $37,500, boasts the most features as standard. This includes four newly added USB ports, the Nissan ConnectSM infotainment system, and Intelligent Cruise Control. It will also include Nissan’s popular Midnight Edition package, which features a variety of black exterior accents, improved lighting, and distinctive badging.
The Pathfinder ME will be available in Magnetic Black, Pearl White, or Gun Metallic.
