Ram Introduces 2019 1500 North Edition for Winter Enthusiasts
Ram has unveiled the 2019 Ram 1500 North Edition, designed to turn the often dreary winter months into a more enjoyable experience. This blue half-ton truck is packed with performance-enhancing features and winter-ready amenities, as well as an updated appearance package that ensures it looks sharp while tackling the cold.
According to the automaker, the North Edition is engineered for year-round driving, but its specialized winter features—including a factory lift, locking rear axle, and Falken tires rated for severe snow conditions—are tailored to provide extra capability during the harsh winter season.
Additionally, this model incorporates heavy-duty shocks and tow hooks from the factory off-road package. To help combat the chill, it includes an engine block heater, along with options for heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, heated folding mirrors, and a remote start system, allowing drivers to step into a warm cabin from the outset.
In terms of aesthetics, the North Edition features a monochromatic appearance package that gives it color-matched steel bumpers, grille, door handles, and side mirrors, with a 4×4 decal being one of the few contrasting elements on the exterior. Mopar all-weather floor mats are included to protect the interior from dirt and snow brought in by winter boots.
Based on the Big Horn edition, the Ram 1500 North is offered as a Crew Cab 4×4, available in both short bed and long bed configurations. Powertrain options consist of a 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque or the powerful Hemi 5.7-liter V8 engine.
This new edition builds on Ram’s existing accolades, having been named Best in Class Pickup Truck by the New England Motor Press Association, a notable recognition for winter performance.
The Ram 1500 North is now available at dealerships, with a starting MSRP of $45,890 for the base model, plus an additional $1,695 destination fee.
