Unique Emergency Vehicle Transformation in Maryland

Among the various fascinating emergency vehicles showcased online, one particular transformation stands out. Rambow Restorations, located in Maryland, has taken a 2016 Dodge Charger Hellcat and equipped it with emergency lights and a siren, in collaboration with 911 Rapid Response, a Pennsylvania-based emergency vehicle outfitter. This project required innovative modifications since the Dodge Charger Hellcat is not standard for emergency service.

The substantial 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine posed a challenge for the builders as it limited the available space behind the grille. To maximize the area, they ingeniously installed four Feniex Fusion 40-degree optic lights, which mimic the functionality of a traditional light stick while remaining compact. Additionally, a Feniex Fusion supervisor bar and a rear deck bar were integrated, both of which are originally designed for the Dodge Charger Pursuit model, allowing for a seamless fit in the Charger Hellcat.

For operational efficiency, a cencom system is neatly mounted on the dashboard, granting easy access for the user to control the lights and siren. While the rear deck lights typically operate in a random warning pattern, the cencom system allows for changes from white to amber, enabling them to function as a directional light. It can also adjust the lights to solid white for better illumination in any scene.

The purpose of the sirens and lights remains uncertain, given that the owner’s company operates as a 24-hour emergency restoration service. They respond to emergencies, such as fires and property damage, but lack certification for emergency code 3 operations. It’s possible that this vehicle is intended for promotional purposes at events and parades to enhance visibility for the business.
