Protesters gathered today in Charlottesville, Virginia, to oppose a white nationalist rally, but their demonstration took a tragic turn when a driver plowed a Dodge Challenger into a crowd, resulting in one death and injuring 19 others. Shortly after the incident, law enforcement arrested the driver and recovered the vehicle, likely aided by numerous videos and photos taken by witnesses. Reports indicate that at least 20 people were treated for injuries at UVA Medical Center, with one individual succumbing to their wounds.
