In the video below, a 2017 Honda Civic Type R accelerates through the gears to achieve a top speed of 233 km/h, or 144 miles per hour. The dashboard resembles that of a track car, featuring shift lights, a prominent tachometer, and a large digital speedometer. The 7,000 rpm redline serves as a reminder of the heavily boosted turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC four-cylinder engine, which can propel the Type R from 0 to 60 mph in just five seconds, as reported by Car & Driver.
