Aston Martin unveiled a highly exclusive collection of 325 cars designed in collaboration with Zagato during an event on Tuesday night, ending months of speculation. Production of these vehicles began quietly late last year and includes four distinct body styles: the Coupe, the convertible Volante, the limited-edition Speedster, and the newly announced Shooting Brake. The entire run is limited to 99 cars for the Coupe, Volante, and Shooting Brake, while only 28 Speedsters will be produced.

The Coupe, Volante, and Speedster models have already sold out, although Aston Martin is likely still accepting orders for the Shooting Brake, which is set to start production in 2018.

All Vanquish Zagato models are equipped with a powerful 5.9-liter V12 engine that delivers 592 horsepower, paired with a ZF eight-speed Touchtronic III transmission. Each vehicle features adaptive dampers in its suspension, expertly tuned to enhance handling. Notably, the tail lights of the Speedster are said to take inspiration from the filament-like design of the Vulcan’s lights.

This launch strengthens a longstanding partnership between Zagato and Aston Martin. In May 2011, the V12 Zagato made its debut in Italy, just weeks before its racing introduction at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. This model was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the DB4 Zagato, a modified DB4 GT boasting a more powerful engine and a significant weight reduction.

The collection also evokes memories of the V8 Zagato; however, that particular model can be best remembered without overanalyzing its unique styling. Instead, enthusiasts can appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake.
