Although it took nearly ten years for Toyota and Lexus to create the remarkable Lexus LFA, this Japanese supercar proved to be well worth the wait. The LFA, which features ground-breaking carbon fiber technology, continues to impress enthusiasts worldwide with its 4.8-liter V10 engine. This powerful engine was one of the reasons why socialite Paris Hilton owned one.

Paris Hilton is not the only celebrity to appreciate this piece of Japanese automotive excellence; Rowan Atkinson, famously known as Mr. Bean, previously owned the Lexus LFA currently listed for sale at The Octane Collection in the UK, with a price tag of £839,995. This particular model was originally delivered to Japan in August 2012 and is one of just 198 right-hand drive units produced.

This LFA spent most of its life in Japan, where its history records show six service visits before it was imported to the UK in 2022. Since its arrival, it has been serviced two additional times at a Lexus main dealer in Milton Keynes, the designated service center for LFA in the UK. Now owned by a celebrity enthusiast, this LFA has been cherished throughout its entire existence.

While the Lexus LFA prioritizes driving enjoyment over sheer performance metrics, it remains an impressive vehicle. With its V10 engine producing 552 hp at a thrilling 8,700 rpm and 354 lb-ft of torque at 6,800 rpm, the LFA can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under four seconds. Notably, the engine can surge from idle to 9,000 rpm in just six-tenths of a second, showcasing its advanced engineering.

Furthermore, the engine is crafted from a unique mixture of aluminum, magnesium, and titanium alloys, making it smaller than a typical V8 and lighter than most V6 engines. Its pistons are made from forged aluminum, while the connecting rods and valves utilize titanium for optimal performance.

The Lexus LFA originated as a passion project for Toyota, aimed at producing a supercar that could compete with offerings from manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche. The production was limited to just 500 units: 436 standard models and 64 models equipped with the Nurburgring Package.
