Introducing a striking new model with ample space: Aston Martin has unveiled the latest addition to its exclusive collection of coach-built supercars, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, on Monday.

Earlier this year, Aston Martin hinted at the Shooting Brake’s development, releasing images of its Zagato-bodied Vanquish models, which include the Vanquish Zagato Coupe, Vanquish Zagato Volante, and Vanquish Zagato Speedster. Like its Coupe and Volante counterparts, the Shooting Brake will see a production run of just 99 units—an unusually high figure for such an elite, customized vehicle. In contrast, the Speedster will be significantly rarer, limited to just 28 units.

In terms of performance, all four Zagato-modified Aston Martins share identical mechanics, featuring a powerful 580-horsepower, naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V12 engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission, as seen in the Vanquish S. What differentiates the Shooting Brake is its elongated, upright rear design, which transforms this high-performance coupe into a gran turismo equipped with generous luggage capacity. The Vanquish Shooting Brake is also accompanied by a set of custom luggage designed specifically for its cargo space. Despite its extensive glass design, Zagato has cleverly integrated its signature double-bubble roof into this new model, along with anodized bronze accents and “herringbone” carbon fiber trim to enhance its exclusivity.

This new Zagato edition adds to a storied lineage of Aston Martin shooting brakes, harking back to the iconic DB5 mini-wagon commissioned by David Brown to transport his dogs and sports equipment. The partnership between Aston Martin and Zagato has roots that go even deeper, dating back to the introduction of the DB4 GT Zagato in 1960. Nonetheless, this current range of Zagato-bodied Vanquish models represents the first instance where Aston Martin has launched an entire series of Zagato customizations simultaneously, which is sure to please affluent collectors eager to add one of these exclusive vehicles to their collection.
