Monterey Car Week 2023: McLaren Debuts One-of-a-Kind 720S in Fux Fuchsia

Every summer, automobile enthusiasts gather in California for Monterey Car Week, culminating in the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This event features an impressive lineup of vehicles, from pristine vintage cars to the latest hypercars. However, McLaren Automotive is particularly eager to unveil its unique 720S model, which boasts an eye-catching new color scheme that sets it apart from the standard versions.

This bespoke 720S, crafted by McLaren Special Operations, will be presented at the Pebble Beach Concours on August 20th. During the event, McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt will pass the keys to entrepreneur and avid car collector Michael Fux. In addition to the vehicle, Fux will receive exclusive rights to this distinctive color for future McLaren projects.

The striking exterior of this 720S replaces the iconic McLaren Orange with a vibrant shade known as "Fux Fuchsia," designed by Rolls-Royce at Mr. Fux’s request. This bold hue is featured throughout the car, extending to both parts of the interior and the alloy wheel accents. The vehicle’s interior complements the exterior with luxurious white leather and Alcantara, creating an unforgettable aesthetic.

Regardless of personal preferences regarding the color, Michael Fux is recognized as a dedicated McLaren collector, having previously owned two custom MP4-12Cs and a green P1.

Visitors at this year’s Concours can see the Fux Fuchsia 720S on display at the Concept Lawn this Sunday.
