Forget about productivity for a moment; I’ve uncovered a new enticing distraction that’s truly captivating. An exceptionally skilled RC car drifter from RCDriftTok (on TikTok and YouTube) posts an impressive array of thrilling drifting trick shots that are impossible to resist watching. Not familiar with RC drifting trick shots? You’re about to be amazed.

I can hardly control an RC car to move in the intended direction, let alone execute perfectly precise drifts. Therefore, it blows my mind to see someone drift an RC car so expertly that they can knock a cap off a miniature beer bottle that is no larger than a real bottle cap.

Some of these drifts may appear challenging but are certainly achievable. For instance, spinning the car around and parking it in a tight space is something that is often done with full-sized vehicles, so a skilled drifter should find it manageable with a drift car. However, some tricks seem nearly unattainable, like sliding the back of the car to topple a row of dominos, and then expertly drifting back to use the car’s wing to knock the cap off the mini beer bottle perched on the final domino before it falls.

One of my personal favorites involves hitting the “world’s smallest gummy bear” with the car’s spoiler. I have no idea how they acquired such small fake gummy bears or if they even mass-produce them, but they are about the size of coarse salt. Despite their tiny size, the driver manages to knock one off a faux table using just the corner of its spoiler, demonstrating an astonishing level of precision akin to a surgical robot.

In their latest video, the drifter shares the time it took to flawlessly execute each trick shot, and many of them require a significant investment of time. While some tricks were completed rather quickly, with a few even on the first attempt, many others demanded several hours. The trick that took the longest involved drifting the back wheel into a mini basketball, launching it up a ramp, and directing it into a miniature hoop. Remarkably, it took a staggering 17 hours to perfect. Seventeen hours.

With countless remarkable videos available, the level of precision in these drifting tricks is endlessly entertaining. Be sure to check them out, but be cautious—it’s likely that you’ll lose track of time and neglect any important tasks waiting for you.
