Many of us can think of a friend who once owned a loud Civic, or perhaps we were that friend ourselves. The Honda Civic is a popular choice for a first car due to its affordability and the extensive aftermarket support available for modifications. One key reason for its appeal is the ease of transforming it from stock to a tuned vehicle while still maintaining practicality for everyday use. Additionally, the Civic remains one of the few cars that still offers a manual transmission, which continues to be a cornerstone of its renowned reliability.

Matt Farah, host of the One Take series, is well-acquainted with the world of modified Civics. In his latest episode, he took a look at a Civic Si that, at first glance, appears quite ordinary. However, beneath its unassuming exterior, this model is turbocharged and boasts an impressive 450 wheel horsepower. Initially, the owner had supercharged the vehicle but found it lacking in power, prompting a complete overhaul. The modification process included replacing the original block, pistons, and connecting rods, along with swapping the supercharger for a turbocharger.

It’s clear that this car is built to perform. The installed turbocharger has the potential to deliver up to 650 whp, indicating that even greater power awaits. Its stealthy appearance serves as a fantastic way to fly under the radar and avoid attention from law enforcement.
