Volkswagen has launched a new advertisement titled “Luv Bug” for its latest Atlas SUV, and it’s certainly an eye-catching commercial.
The ad illustrates that as families expand, they can opt for progressively larger Volkswagen models to accommodate their needs. The narrative follows a young couple who begins with a Beetle, progresses to a Jetta, then a Tiguan, and ultimately arrives at the brand-new Atlas. The humorous twist is that the couple seems to be quite fond of using each of these vehicles as places for intimacy, reminiscent of Frank Sinatra’s expression “making whoopee,” which inevitably leads to the arrival of a new child, thus requiring an even bigger Volkswagen.
This marks the inaugural advertisement showcasing the all-new VW Atlas, set to hit dealerships in the upcoming spring. The Atlas is designed as a 7-passenger SUV, featuring a 3.6-liter VR6 engine that delivers 276 horsepower and is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, it will include 4Motion all-wheel drive and various adventure-ready enhancements. (And no, we’re not talking about that kind of adventure—keep it clean.)
While the pricing for the Atlas has yet to be confirmed, The Drive will keep you updated on the cost as soon as information becomes available.
