Everyone enjoys witnessing an unexpected showdown between different types of vehicles, especially in terms of power and speed. With this excitement in mind, the team from DragTimes recently took to the race track to pit a Tesla Model X P100D against a Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV.
The Tesla boasts an impressive 588 horsepower and 920 lb-ft of torque, complemented by its ludicrous mode, which positions it as a frontrunner on the track. In contrast, the Lamborghini enchants with its exhilarating sound, powered by a 750 horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine. Both cars are remarkable feats of engineering, and each stands as a formidable competitor. While both vehicles feature all-wheel drive, the Tesla exhibits slightly better traction, allowing it to achieve a cleaner launch. However, the Lamborghini rapidly closes the gap after accelerating to 60 mph. Notably, the Tesla Model X set a world record for the fastest production SUV, clocking an impressive quarter-mile time of 11.418 seconds at a speed of 117.85 mph.
As anticipated, the Lamborghini ultimately outpaced the Model X by a mere 0.13 seconds in the quarter-mile race—and the sound of its engine is nothing short of a symphony of Italian artistry.
