Glyn Hopkin, an independent dealer group, has named Tim Murphy as its new chief operations officer (COO).

Murphy brings a wealth of experience, having previously held roles as franchise director for Audi and Jaguar Land Rover at Marshall’s, as well as serving as group operations director and executive board member at Motorline Group.

Fraser Cohen, CEO of Glyn Hopkin, remarked, “Tim’s vast industry background and successful track record will be crucial as we work to expand and enhance our operations. His experience managing relationships with numerous manufacturers will be highly beneficial for the group.”

In his role as COO, Murphy will manage all dealerships under the brands Nissan, MG, Kia, Renault, Dacia, Alpine, and Suzuki, with a particular emphasis on both sales and aftersales services.

His key objectives will include promoting excellence throughout all operations, establishing strong partnerships, improving the customer experience, and ensuring alignment with the company’s core values.
