McLaren has some thrilling news for its owners in Australia, announcing its inaugural annual owner’s track day to take place in Victoria.
This highly anticipated event will occur later this week, where McLaren has invited 21 owners to the Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Participants will have the chance to drive one of 29 available McLaren supercars, providing an exciting opportunity to test their skills and clocks some significant lap times. For McLaren, owning one of its high-performance vehicles is about more than just parking it in the garage or taking leisurely drives in affluent neighborhoods.
“Every McLaren is engineered to be driven and enjoyed. Hosting this event at the Philip Island Circuit is the perfect opportunity for our owners to experience that,” stated George Biggs, Managing Director of McLaren Asia Pacific.
To enhance the track experience, McLaren has enlisted Indy 500 champion Kenny Bräck, who will assist participants in refining their driving techniques and maximizing the capabilities of their performance vehicles. Bräck has been associated with McLaren since 2015 as a test driver, making him well-acquainted with the brand.
The decision to host a track day in Australia stems from McLaren’s recognition of the expanding supercar market in the country.
