The newly unveiled 2020 Chevy Silverado HD has a design that may not appeal to everyone. However, for those interested in a Duramax diesel engine boasting over 900 pound-feet of torque but who prefer a more aesthetically pleasing vehicle, there’s good news. GMC has just released a teaser image for the all-new 2020 GMC Sierra HD Denali, a model that shares its mechanics with the Silverado HD but features a more attractive exterior.
The teaser image showcases just a portion of the truck’s front design, yet it provides valuable insight into its overall appearance. The Sierra HD Denali incorporates styling elements from the latest GMC Sierra 1500, which many find to be an improvement compared to its Chevy counterpart. As a Denali variant, it’s expected to include an upscale chrome grille, stylish wheels, and a luxurious interior.
A key question that arises is whether the HD version of the new Sierra will feature the innovative six-function MultiPro tailgate. GMC recently released an advertisement poking fun at other tailgates that lack this unique feature, suggesting that future Denali pickups may standardize this addition.
We anticipate getting answers to this and other inquiries when the 2020 GMC Sierra HD Denali officially debuts. It’s speculated that the reveal could happen at or before the Chicago Auto Show next month. When we inquired about the release date, GMC indicated that the truck is expected to arrive in “late summer 2019.” Given the mixed reactions to the Silverado HD’s design, it will be interesting to see if the more refined GMC Sierra HD manages to outsell its traditionally more popular Chevy sibling..
