A unique 2012 Lexus LFA is now available at California dealership CNC Motors for a price of $699,888, with its mileage currently at 1,314. According to Club Lexus, this particular model is one of only two LFAs that feature a “Fresh Green” exterior and is the sole unit with a white interior to match this color.
Between 2010 and 2012, just 500 LFAs were manufactured. Each vehicle boasts a 552-horsepower naturally aspirated V-10 engine paired with a six-speed sequential transmission, all housed within a cutting-edge carbon fiber chassis. The original selling price was around $375,000, but since production ceased, these vehicles have seen a notable increase in value.
As reported by Club Lexus, this LFA, which is the 250th unit built, was acquired in 2013 by a collector in Ohio, who drove it for about 745 miles. In 2014, the owner sold it overseas for $399,000. Now, after approximately four years and 600 additional miles, the Lexus is listed at a California dealership for nearly double its previous price.
Although the LFA was an impressive feat of engineering, its higher price compared to similar models meant it did not receive the appreciation it deserved during its production run. The LFA sold slowly enough that some units remained unsold in Lexus showrooms even years later.
Just a few years after it was discontinued, the LFA has already established a legacy. Its influence is visible in its spiritual successor, the LC500 coupe. Nostalgia for the LFA has also increased its desirability among today’s collectors, who are keen to pay a premium to experience the distinctive sound of its high-revving V-10 engine or admire its striking, angular design.
Given all this, CNC Motors is likely to find a buyer eager to invest nearly $700,000 in this exceptional green machine.
