In 1999, Jaguar unveiled a concept car named the XK180 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its XK series. This vehicle was showcased at the Paris Motor Show and featured a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, generating an impressive 450 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The XK180 was equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system, boasting advanced technologies such as racing shock absorbers, speed-sensitive steering, and Computer Active Technology Suspension.

Despite its appealing design and performance capabilities, the XK180 remained a mere concept and was never put into production. Nonetheless, some of its innovative features, particularly the advanced suspension system, were later integrated into other Jaguar models. Although Jaguar did not manufacture the XK180, a few companies created replicas that closely resemble the original concept. One notable company is Autobedrijf de Koning B.V., based in the Netherlands, which claims to have crafted the most accurate replica of the XK180 using the XKR platform and adhering to the specifications of the 1999 Jaguar model.

The first replica produced by Autobedrijf is currently available for sale on the website Mobile. The listing highlights that the vehicle has never been in an accident and is paired with an automatic transmission. Its exterior features a dark emerald green finish, complemented by a brown interior. While many replica cars suffer from lackluster interiors, this model’s custom cabin stands out as one of its key attractions.

The asking price for this unique sports car is set at 235,000 euros (approximately $272,000). While this may appear steep at first glance, some may contend that it’s a reasonable price for a model that successfully brings the XK180 concept to life..
