Nissan has updated its Frontier midsize truck for the 2025 model year, offering buyers more options in terms of bed and cab configurations compared to most competing models.
While the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Ford Ranger are now only available as crew cab with a short box, customers seeking other configurations have limited options to either the Frontier or the Toyota Tacoma.
Among these two, the Frontier’s base price is now higher. The starting price for the 2025 Frontier is set at $33,560 (including a $1,510 destination charge), making it pricier than the entry-level Tacoma for 2024, which starts at $32,995 after delivery fees.
The 2025 Frontier boasts an improved towing capacity of 7,150 pounds—an increase of 510 pounds—alongside new cabin technology and a refreshed exterior design for this model year. Every trim now includes a telescoping steering wheel and a sliding rear window, as well as safety features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.
Most trims also feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen for entertainment purposes, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities; however, the basic trim options like the work truck S and the slightly upgraded SV do not include these advanced features.

All prices mentioned include a $1,510 destination fee.
Nissan offers the King Cab as an extended cabin option that seats four people, featuring two full front doors and rear-hinged half doors. The Crew Cab models come with four doors and accommodations for five passengers.
