Imagine expecting to hear the iconic Dukes of Hazzard horn, only to be met with silence. Instead of the famed General Lee soaring through the air, we witness an unusual incident involving a KIA SUV.
During the holiday season, a woman pulled up to a drive-through ATM when she unexpectedly lost control of her vehicle. The car struck an embankment and went airborne, narrowly missing another car. This dramatic event was recorded by Robb Brilbeck’s dash cam and shared on YouTube while he waited in line in Rockford, Illinois, on December 23.
At the 22-second mark of the video, the KIA suddenly accelerates while the driver’s door remains ajar. The driver makes no effort to stop as the vehicle careens toward a dirt bank. Just before the SUV collides with the embankment, a silver sedan drives across its path. In a surprising twist of fate, the KIA hits the dirt slope with just the right momentum to launch it into the air over the silver sedan, reminiscent of childhood games played with Hot Wheels.
The KIA ascends rapidly but comes crashing down hard, managing to land on all four wheels in a nearby parking lot.
It’s difficult to comprehend why the driver chose to accelerate in such a manner. However, social media will undoubtedly speculate. Thankfully, there were no major injuries reported.
