Bentley has expanded its luxury SUV lineup with the introduction of the Bentayga S, which is touted as the most athletic variant among its models, adding to the existing Bentayga, W12-powered Bentayga Speed, and fuel-efficient Bentayga Hybrid.

Unlike the Bentayga Speed, which emphasizes high-speed performance, the Bentayga S prioritizes handling. It is equipped with the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine found in the standard Bentayga, delivering 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The performance metrics remain consistent, with the vehicle capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 180 mph.

To enhance agility, Bentley has incorporated a specially designed Sport suspension that includes the Bentley Dynamic Ride system, featuring a 48-volt electric active anti-roll mechanism. A newly introduced Sport driving mode improves steering feedback, response during turns, and reduces body roll through air suspension dampers that are 15% firmer. Additionally, the brake-based torque vectoring system has been recalibrated for improved handling.

The Bentayga S also boasts a sporty exhaust system that has been redesigned for a more pronounced sound, complete with a unique split-oval exhaust exit.

In terms of aesthetics, the Bentayga S features darkened headlights and taillights, black trim details throughout the exterior, including the edge of a new rear spoiler, and eye-catching 22-inch wheels. The interior options include configurations for four, five, or seven seats, along with a stylish “color-split” design, fresh seating, and the use of Alcantara finishes.

While Bentley has yet to disclose pricing for the Bentayga S, it remains to be seen whether customers will find it more appealing than the standard Bentayga V8. However, for many Bentayga enthusiasts, the concept of “value for money” is often not a primary concern..
