In honor of Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, Ram has announced the creation of five special edition Ram pickups, each representing one of the branches of the United States military. These eye-catching trucks are part of Ram’s nationwide volunteer initiative known as Ram Nation, which encourages Americans to contribute to a total of 1.3 million volunteer hours—one for each active military member—between now and Veterans Day 2020.

To kick off this ambitious campaign, Ram is hosting a concert called “Stars and Strings” at Detroit’s Fox Theater this Wednesday, where the first of the five “Built to Serve Edition” trucks, themed around the U.S. Army, will be unveiled.

The “Built to Serve” series will offer customers a range of body styles and powertrains, equipped with the 4×4 Off-Road Group package. This upgrade comes with features like skid plates, tow hooks, all-terrain tires, an electronically locking rear axle, and heavy-duty off-road shock absorbers.

Exclusive design elements will distinguish the Built to Serve editions from standard models. They will feature unique 20-inch aluminum wheels in Technical Grey, black exterior trim, American flag motifs, and distinct paint and interior options that will vary depending on the branch represented. Over the next year, five different versions will be released, one every three months, each featuring two unique color options and specialized interior stitching. Production is limited to 1,000 units per color, but only 500 units will be available in each color for the Coast Guard editions.

Here’s a breakdown of the specific features for each branch:
– Army: Available in Gator or Diamond Black paint, with Light Frost stitching.
– Navy: Offered in Ceramic Gray or Patriot Blue paint, featuring Light Ambassador Blue stitching.
– Air Force: Comes in Anvil or Billet Silver paint, with Light Diesel Gray stitching.
– Marine Corps: Available in Tank or Flame Red paint, featuring Core Green stitching.
– Coast Guard: Offered in Spitfire or Bright White paint, with Orange stitching.

These editions also boast upscale interiors with Black Onyx Chrome accents, which include special velcro panels on the front seats for service members to attach their regiment patches. Each rear seat back comes with PALS/MOLLE webbing for additional storage, suitable for holding items like roadside flares or equipment.

Orders for the 2020 Ram “Built to Serve Edition” pickups will be available next week, with a total of 9,000 trucks up for sale. Potential buyers are encouraged to act quickly to secure their vehicle..
