Mini has confirmed that the 2024 Countryman SE ALL4 electric crossover will be available this fall in U.S. dealerships, featuring an impressive 212 miles of range and a starting price of $46,195, which includes a $995 destination fee.

This launch aligns with the timeline Mini shared last year, following the unveiling of the redesigned crossover at the 2023 Munich Auto Show. Although the previous model offered a plug-in hybrid option, this marks the first instance where the Countryman will provide an all-electric powertrain option. Traditional combustion engines will continue to be available as well.

The U.S. version of the Countryman SE ALL4 is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that generates 308 hp and 364 lb-ft of torque, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 5.4 seconds as per Mini’s projections. A single-motor variant will also be available in Europe.

Moreover, Mini stated that the Countryman SE ALL4 will support DC fast charging at rates up to 130 kW, enabling a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

The electric Countryman is expected to launch alongside a redesigned electric version of the classic Mini Cooper hatchback. The next-generation Cooper was introduced at the same time as the Countryman in 2023, offering both gasoline and electric options, although Mini has yet to announce a U.S. timeline for the electric variant. Once available, it will replace the Mini Cooper SE, which has been the brand’s only electric vehicle in the U.S. until now.

This year, Mini also unveiled a new electric crossover named the Aceman, which is positioned between the Countryman and Cooper in size. However, it remains uncertain whether this model, inspired by a 2022 concept car, will make its way to the U.S. market.
