For those who thought the 575-horsepower Jaguar F-Type SVR was already pushing the limits, Lister, a long-time Jaguar tuner, has unveiled the Thunder variant, boasting an impressive 666 horsepower and a maximum speed of 208 miles per hour. Be prepared to burn through tires at an astonishing rate as soon as you accelerate.

The Lister Thunder is not merely a modified F-Type; it’s a custom, racing-inspired sports car featuring unique bodywork, a lavish interior, and thoughtful performance tweaks. The car extensively utilizes carbon fiber, which appears in areas such as the front and rear bumpers, extended splitter, exhaust tips, and an optional carbon hood.

Buyers will have the luxury of selecting from 36 colors for the Thunder’s upscale Bridge of Weir Nappa leather interior. Complementary Nappa leather stitching beautifully accents the steering wheel, dashboard, doors, and headliner.

Lister plans to produce only 99 units of the Thunder, each priced around $199,000. However, it is unlikely that this model will be sold in the United States. The company describes the Thunder as a modern successor to the Le Mans, a 604-horsepower Jaguar XJS produced by Lister 25 years ago.

The Thunder is just the beginning of Lister’s ambitions, as the company aims to establish itself as Jaguar’s dedicated aftermarket performance branch. The initial offering will include a carbon fiber aero kit priced at $28,293, compatible with both the Thunder and the standard F-Type.

“Similar to Brabus and AMG for Mercedes, or Alpina for BMW, we aim to re-establish ourselves as the go-to for tuning Jaguar vehicles, providing customers with new, enhanced options for performance and design that complement Jaguar’s esteemed range,” stated Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Lister Motor Company.

Additional details about the Thunder will be revealed at its official debut during the 2018 Historic Motorsport International on February 15. For those eager for more information, former Top Gear and Fifth Gear host Tiff Needell offers a detailed exploration of the vehicle in the video below.
