By 2022, Horacio Pagani had introduced his concept of the flawless hypercar, which he aptly christened ‘Utopia’. The exclusive supercar marque from Italy has now enhanced what was already considered “impeccable”. Enter the Pagani Utopia Roadster.
The convertible rendition of the Utopia is set to make its inaugural public debut at the upcoming Monterey Car Week scheduled for August.
Similar to the coupe model, the Utopia Roadster is constructed on a Carbo-Titanium frame. The weight stands at just 2,822 lbs, a truly remarkable feat. Pagani asserts that the monocoque structure delivers optimal stiffness without the need for bulky reinforcements, even with the roof removed.
Under the hood of the Utopia Roadster resides the identical 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 powerplant found in the coupe variant. Crafted by Mercedes-AMG, this engine churns out 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. It can be mated to a 7-speed automated manual transmission or a traditional manual gearbox with three pedals.
The vehicle showcased in these visuals comes equipped with the optional Sport Pack, which integrates carbon-backed seats that are 20% lighter, a titanium exhaust setup, and wheels featuring carbon Aeroblade deflectors, among other enhancements.
Pagani has announced the production of 130 units of the Utopia Roadster, with an initial price tag starting at €3.1 million before taxes.
