NCL Unveils Philadelphia as New Home Port, Introduces 250 Sailings Across North America in 2026

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed its pioneering plan to establish Philadelphia as its primary homeport. Concurrently, it has introduced close to 250 fresh itineraries originating from the United States and Canada for the year 2026.

A fleet of nine vessels will transport travelers to captivating destinations such as Alaska, New England, Canada, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

Commencing from April 16 to October 17, 2026, the Norwegian Jewel will serve as the homeport in Philadelphia, providing seven- to nine-day excursions to Bermuda from the Southport Marine Terminal Complex.

The vessel will set course for Bermuda for the inaugural time between April 16 and August 27, 2026. Following this, it will embark on 10- and 11-day voyages to New England and Canada, with alternating departure points in Québec and Philadelphia. Noteworthy stops include Boston, Bar Harbor in Maine, Halifax, Charlottetown, and Saguenay in Canada.

Between April 19 and November 2026, the Norwegian Breakaway will operate seven-day roundtrip journeys from Boston to Bermuda. Post that period, from late August to mid-October, this ship, built-in 2013, will transition to seven-day sailings to Canada and New England.

The Norwegian Aqua will conduct its second season in Bermuda, offering five- and seven-day cruises departing from New York with overnight stays at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda.

In response to the rising demand for brief getaways, NCL is presenting nearly 40 three- and four-night voyages aboard the Norwegian Getaway. These expeditions will visit Nassau and NCL’s exclusive Bahamian retreat, Great Stirrup Cay.

The Norwegian Prima from NCL will navigate through the Eastern and Western Caribbean islands during seven-day cruises, including stops at Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), George Town (Cayman Islands), and Montego Bay (Jamaica).

Up to 10-Day Escapade in Alaska

Travelers seeking to immerse themselves in the Alaskan wilderness can opt for extended nine- and ten-day voyages departing from Seattle aboard the Norwegian Joy. Additionally, the Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore will offer shorter seven-day Alaska cruises from the same homeport.

The Norwegian Jade will travel for weeks between Vancouver, British Columbia, and the newly established NCL homeport in Whittier, Alaska.

NCL’s Alaska cruising season for 2026 spans from late April to October. According to NCL, the Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Bliss, and Norwegian Encore have been impeccably designed for Alaska’s unique landscape, offering a diverse range of onboard activities to cater to every guest.
