The iconic Aston Martin DB5 gained popularity from its appearances in the James Bond movies. Acquiring an original car from the films would cost a considerable sum. However, for those with a limited budget, there’s an alternative—a miniature version designed for kids. The Little Car Company, in collaboration with EON Productions, is constructing a range of scaled-down Aston Martin DB5s in honor of the release of the latest 007 movie No Time To Die. What’s more, these models are equipped with fully functional gadgets.
This new endeavor builds upon the previous releases of miniature DB5s for children by the Little Car Company. The No Time To Die rendition of the DB5 Junior runs on a 16kW electric motor, capable of reaching speeds of up to 45mph and covering distances of up to 80 miles. To ensure safety, various driving modes are available to restrict performance, making it suitable even for beginner drivers. However, the real allure lies in the special features that make this vehicle truly resemble a Bond car.

All the gadgets can be operated from a concealed switch panel located in the passenger door trim. The vehicle is equipped with a smoke system that can create a smokescreen behind it, aiding in evading imaginary or real foes. Despite the limited coverage of the smoke, which may resemble the exhaust of a vintage poorly-tuned British car, it adds a nice touch to the experience.
Additionally, there are switchable number plates, modernized with an LCD screen replacing the traditional rotating mechanism seen in earlier movies. While unlikely to deceive the authorities, these plates are customizable during the ordering process. The headlamps can retract to reveal Gatling cannons that can be ‘fired’ at the push of a button. As it is designed for children, the cannons do not actually shoot projectiles but instead produce sound effects and flashing lights.
Excitingly, there is a skid mode intended for emulating the spins showcased in the No Time To Die trailer. The drifting feature is expected to be highly popular among the fortunate children who get a chance to drive this mini marvel.
The LittleThe Automobile Manufacturer is serious about excellence, too. Their cars are equipped with genuine Brembo disc brakes, Bilstein coilovers, and Smiths gauges on the dashboard. The DB5 Junior is also reportedly recognized as “an authentic Aston Martin model,” and purchasers automatically become members of the Aston Martin Owners Club.
Prices commence at £90,000, so advise your future 007s to start setting aside their Christmas and birthday funds if they desire to own one. Prior customers waiting for the company’s earlier DB5 Junior editions will have the first chance to upgrade to the No Time To Die edition, with any remaining production slots to be assigned to interested individuals thereafter.
The Little Vehicle Company evidently excels at manufacturing desirable tiny cars. The Testa Rossa J is another superb illustration of their craftsmanship. We can only hope now to spot one of these microcars cruising down our street so we can experience it firsthand.
