Introduced during CES 2024, the 0 Series is a fleet of next-generation Honda EVs that will be available worldwide. At least seven vehicles are planned for launch by the end of the decade, with a specific focus on North America.
In its roadmap for the next decade released on Thursday, Honda reaffirmed its dedication to providing lightweight EVs for the 0 Series to ensure they align with Honda’s long-standing tradition of delivering thrilling driving experiences.
Honda Saloon Concept – 2024 CES
The automaker revealed intentions to introduce lighter frameworks alongside cutting-edge electric powertrains designed to be lighter and more compact by leveraging F1 experience, in addition to its background in hybrid vehicles. Honda anticipates a weight reduction of around 220 pounds compared to its previous EV models.
Honda also unveiled its plans to utilize motorsport expertise to enhance the aerodynamics of its EVs for optimal range. The objective is to achieve over 300 miles of range per vehicle from the 0 Series, as determined by the EPA evaluation process.
Besides lightweight construction, key features of Honda’s 0 Series will include slim batteries to maximize internal space and intelligent software systems incorporating Honda’s exclusive operating system.
At the CES presentation, Honda previewed the Saloon concept as a glimpse of an upcoming 0 Series EV scheduled for release in North America in 2026. This model is poised to be the flagship of the series.
