The Goodwood Road & Racing YouTube channel shared the aforementioned video of Pastrana conquering the hill in challenging wet conditions.
Pastrana’s exceptional vehicle handling skills allowed him to achieve what many struggle with at Goodwood: providing entertainment for the spectators while setting impressive lap times. Typically, drivers have to choose one over the other. However, Pastrana and his Subaru racing wagon showcased an exceptional balance, achieving the second-quickest time while delivering spectacular drifting displays for the fans.
“The rear wing provides significant added stopping power during braking,” Pastrana added. “While it’s primarily configured to stabilize the car during large jumps, we tuned it to ensure the rear end remains grounded in these circumstances.”
The action is set to resume on Sunday morning at the iconic driveway of the Duke of Richmond, offering Pastrana, Sebastian Vettel, Mick Schumacher, Emerson Fittipaldi, and countless others another opportunity to captivate the audience.
