Like with the exterior, the interior of the Audi A3 Sedan is updated but it’s not such a substantial change that you’ll feel like it’s a whole new cockpit. We see a new shifter design, an updated dashboard, and a redesigned center console at first glance. There are cupholders in the places we’re used to seeing them, and trunk space won’t be any different. The current Audi A3 Sedan provides 10.9 cubic feet of cargo space.

The shifter looks like the one found inside the e-tron GT, and the dashboard air vents are slightly different. There are new decorative fabric inlays and new interior lighting. The cockpit’s new ‘blade design’ works with chrome finishes on the surface to create a slimmer look and matches with the interior door handles that sport a new finish, too.

In terms of new materials, there are new fabric inlays, including a technical textured fabric that’s made from recycled polyester and Dinamica. You’ll also find Dinamica as standard on the seats of the Audi A3 Sedan. The steering wheel remains a three-spoke leather item, but according to the automaker, the standard features list has been expanded – it lists air conditioning, the ambient lighting package, and a front center armrest as included equipment. There’s a new Sonos sound system in the A3, but whether that carries over to US-spec cars remains to be seen.
