When Does Cadillac Plan To Be All Electric?

Last spring, Cadillac announced their electric Lyriq crossover design, which was the beginning of the end in regard to internal combustion engines manufactured by Cadillac. According to Cadillac global VP Rory Harvey, the Cadillac brand has plans to sell only electric vehicles by the year 2030. This is similar to announcements from many other vehicle manufacturers, including GM, which says they will be all electric by 2035.

The redesign of the Cadillac Escalade SUV was the last ICE design from this brand. The current lineup will only see updates that make them more eco-friendly. No new money is going to be used towards these vehicles.

Cadillac anticipates releasing approximately 30 new electric vehicles by the year 2025, thanks to a $27 billion investment plan. The Lyriq is just the start of this change. It includes the new battery system Ultium, and you’ll only see one trim level for it during its first model year.

If you would like to learn more about the switch from internal combustion engines to all-electric models, reach out to our sales team here at Arrowhead Cadillac. We would be happy to show you the information that we have and show you around the inventory that we have on-site right now. Feel free to check out our inventory on our website as well.
