After receiving a midcycle update earlier this year, the Honda Civic Si is now set to benefit from several practical feature enhancements. Similar to its standard counterpart, the 2025 Si features a redesigned front fascia, updated taillights, and new wheel options. However, the most significant upgrades are those that enhance comfort and convenience, which are not immediately obvious from the exterior.
Among these changes is a fully digital instrument cluster with shift lights and heated front seats—an upgrade even the performance-oriented Civic Type R lacks. Fans of The Drive might recall that these features were already included in the Touring-based Canadian version of the Civic Si. Moreover, the car now has an infotainment system that integrates Google apps and benefits from enhanced Honda Sensing assisted driving technology.
One notable feature absent from the U.S. version of the Si is dual-zone climate control. In Canada, the Si includes enhanced HVAC capabilities, along with additional exclusive features such as a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, parking sensors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, wireless charging, fog lights, and turn signals integrated into the mirrors. For those keeping track, it’s quite a difference.
Regardless of the variant you choose, every 2025 Civic model benefits from slight adjustments to the frame and chassis, enhancing the driving experience. Honda claims new supports in the lower B-pillar and rear door sill improve both torsional and bending rigidity, while the dampers have been recalibrated to complement the firmer structure. Additionally, the rev-matching feature for the six-speed manual now includes blipping when downshifting from second to first gear, a capability that was not present before.
The Civic Si continues to be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Despite this, it offers no increase in power compared to the new Civic Hybrid, which produces 200 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. However, the Si is distinguished by its manual transmission and enhanced handling capabilities, featuring a helical limited-slip differential and larger brakes.
The starting price for the 2025 Honda Civic Si is $31,045, reflecting an $850 increase from the previous model year—a modest rise when considering inflation. New for 2025 are also optional performance-oriented summer tires available for an additional $300.
