On Friday, Chevrolet officially announced enhancements to the EPA range ratings and power performance for its 2025 Blazer EV models, which include both rear- and all-wheel drive. The automaker also provided details on the pricing for its entry-level front-wheel-drive variant.

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer RS with rear-wheel drive boasts an EPA range of 334 miles, an increase from the 324 miles offered in the 2024 Blazer EV. Meanwhile, the all-wheel-drive LT version achieves a range of 283 miles, up from 279 miles last year. Power outputs have also seen an increase, now reaching 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque for the LT AWD, and 365 hp and 325 lb-ft for the RS AWD.

Both of these models are currently open for orders, according to Chevrolet. Additionally, the starting price for the LT, which is the first front-wheel-drive model in the lineup, is set at $45,995, including the required destination fee. Chevrolet indicated that this variant will be available for ordering “soon.”

The top-range RS RWD and high-performance SS AWD versions will be equipped with a larger 102-kWh battery pack, while the other Blazer EV models will feature an 85-kWh pack. The SS models will boast an impressive 557 hp, enhanced suspension, and can achieve 0-60 mph in under four seconds. Although Chevrolet has not shared extensive details about the SS, it confirmed that the 2025 Blazer SS will have a lower starting price of $61,995.

Earlier this summer, Chevrolet had already reduced the starting prices on existing AWD LT and RS models by up to $1,200 as part of their 2025 updates. For the new model year, the Blazer EV LT AWD is priced at $48,995, while the Blazer RS AWD starts at $54,295. It’s worth noting that some features which were standard in the 2024 models have become optional in 2025, leading to a slight increase in base prices but offering customers more customization options.

The optional packages for the LT AWD now include the Comfort and Convenience package, as well as the RS AWD’s Convenience and Driver package, along with a charge cord. The Comfort and Convenience package offers features such as wireless phone charging, power tailgate, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, among others, at a cost of $2,295. The RS package, priced at an indicated $2,620, combines features like a head-up display and a surround-view camera system, but GM does not seem to offer an option to omit this package for 2025.

Nevertheless, the price reduction is a welcomed development in the realm of affordable electric vehicles, as market research shows consumers are seeking more budget-friendly EV options. Earlier this year, GM slashed the prices of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV by several thousand dollars after addressing a series of interface issues, including charging problems, which had previously halted sales in December.

GM emphasized that vehicles delivered post-pause had received “significant software updates,” enhancing features like ambient lighting and battery percentage graphics on the gauge cluster. A recent test drive of the Blazer EV by Green Car Reports found no software issues and praised the model’s efficiency and range.
