The main event at the 2024 ROAR 1/8th Off-Road Nationals lived up to expectations, culminating in Ryan Maifield’s domination in both the Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truggy categories.

Nitro Buggy:

A total of four different racers had the opportunity to lead the Nitro Buggy main race. Dakotah Phend held the lead initially and on multiple occasions throughout the race. Phi-Long Nguyen also took a turn at the front and remained competitive until just before the midway point, where he dropped back just outside the top positions. Mason Fuller led the race and was in contention until an unfortunate retirement. Dakotah and Ryan Maifield exchanged the lead multiple times after the halfway mark, but Maifield eventually surged ahead in the final 20 laps to secure the victory. Dakotah Phend secured 2nd place, while Phi-Long managed to retain 3rd position.

Nitro Truggy:

Three drivers found themselves in the lead during the Nitro Truggy race. Ryan Maifield and Mason Fuller traded the top spot multiple times before the halfway mark. Camden Lime also briefly led before encountering issues. Ultimately, lapped traffic created a gap for Maifield over Fuller, allowing Ryan to find clear track ahead and cruise to victory without looking back. Mason Fuller finished in 2nd place, with Dakotah Phend claiming 3rd.
