When a Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and an E-Class Coupe merge, what emerges is the brand new 2024 Mercedes CLE Coupe and its convertible counterpart, the CLE Cabriolet. While not a direct descendant of the CLK-Class from the early 2000s, the CLE can be seen as a spiritual successor as it occupies a higher position in the model hierarchy beyond the C-Class and E-Class.

In terms of dimensions, the new Mercedes CLE surpasses the C-Class Coupe by 6.5 inches in length and even exceeds the E-Class Coupe by 0.6 inches. It boasts a wider stature than the C-Class while matching the width of the E-Class, with a height that falls between the two. Mercedes claims it holds the title of the longest coupe in its segment.

The majority of the Mercedes CLE appears quite expected, as it appears to simply adopt its components from two already established Mercedes vehicles. However, it is enclosed in an appealing package and somewhat resurrects the Mercedes CLK from the past. Despite its predictability, I am pleased with its presence. Buyers will have the option to receive CLEs in early 2024 in both coupe and convertible variants.
