Just slightly more than a week ago, the JConcepts Squad made their way back to Isle Speedway and Star Collectibles for another stellar occasion in Iowa. This year’s gathering boasted 274 participants, a substantial increase of more than 100 compared to the previous year. The team at Isle exhibited exceptional warmth and delivered an exceptional racing track for this high-profile event.
The JConcepts crew acclimated themselves well during the practice session by using the proven and reliable tire combinations. They opted for either the Fuzz Bite Front and Rear tires or the Pin Swag Front and Fuzz Bite Rear tires based on individual driver preferences. The early stages of the seeding rounds saw the following drivers excel in speed.
Seeding Session:
Leading the pack in Modified 2wd Buggy were Broc Champlin in 1st place, Tom Rinderknecht in 2nd place, and Spencer Rivkin in 3rd place.
The standings for Modified 4wd Buggy were as follows: Broc Champlin secured the top spot, Tom Rinderknecht clinched 2nd place, and Davey Batta took the 3rd position.
In the 17.5 Expert 2wd category: Phi-Long Nguyen claimed 1st place, Jake Wiggs secured 2nd, and Aaron Mitchell (JC Privateer) took the 3rd spot.
Claiming victory in the 13.5 Expert 4wd were Tyler Pattenaude in 1st, Kyle Holmberg in 2nd, and Doug Lariviere in 3rd.
Taking the top spot in the 40+ 2wd Modified class was Brent Thielke, with Jamie Thompson (JC Privateer) in the 2nd position.
Emerging as the winner in the 13.5 Stadium Truck category were Jovy Levin in 1st place, Kyle Holmberg in 2nd, and Cody Meiferdt in 3rd.
Qualifying rounds primarily showcased familiar faces at the forefront, with the added factor of consistency revealing the competitors’ standings. The following drivers found the most success during the qualification rounds!

Tom claimed victory in A1 but faced a challenge in A2 due to a controversial incident, allowing Broc to seize the win. With both drivers securing the top two spots in two races each, the final A3 race determined the ultimate champion. Despite early contact between the drivers, Tom showcased superior recovery skills, clinching the A3 victory with Broc in a close second. Rinderknecht emerged victorious, with Champlin placing 2nd and Davey Batta securing 3rd with consistent finishes.

4-wheel Drive Buggy Competition: A stroke of bad luck for top qualifier Broc Champlin in A1 paved the way for Tom Rinderknecht to claim victory in the opening race. In a thrilling A2, Tom navigated past Broc’s errors to secure another win and ultimately clinched the overall title in just two mains. Davey Batta capitalized on opportunities, securing a 3rd place finish in A2 and a victory in A3, securing the 2nd place overall. Seasoned competitor Ryan Cavalieri secured a 3rd place finish with strong performances in A1 and A3.
