The production of Chrysler300 will come to an end after the 2023 model year, but there is a silver lining. The 2023 Chrysler 300C is making a comeback for a single model year, boasting a robust 6.4-liter 392 Hemi V8 engine churning out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The last instance of this engine in the 300 model was seen in the 2012-2014 300 SRT8. Currently, the most powerful variant of the 300 is the 300S with a 5.7-liter, 363-hp engine. Recent speculations hinted at a potential supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 inclusion in the 300, but those rumors did not materialize. Nonetheless, it’s hard to be disappointed when an even more substantial V8 is serving as the car’s final hurrah.
The availability of the 300C will be quite limited: Only 2,000 units will be up for grabs in the U.S., with an additional 200 units earmarked for the Canadian market. The pricing starts at $56,595, inclusive of obligatory destination fees.

The acceleration of 300C from 0 to 60 mph is accomplished in 4.3 seconds, completes the quarter mile in 12.4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 160 mph. An eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission swiftly shifts gears in 160 milliseconds while the 20-inch wheels are equipped with performance all-season tires. The presence of red-painted four-piston Brembo brake calipers, a limited-slip differential, and active dampers aid in managing the immense power, complemented by an active exhaust system peeking out with black tips from underneath the 300C.
Internally, the incorporation of black Laguna leather, silver contrast stitching, carbon fiber trim, and a fresh “300C” emblem bring a touch of visual appeal. Offered in black, red, or white, the final version of the 300C is being heralded as a farewell to the entire Chrysler 300 legacy, a brand that traces its roots back almost 70 years. The original Chrysler 300 made its debut in 1955 showcasing, you guessed it, a 300-hp Hemi V8, making it the most potent full-size car of its time. It wasn’t until two years later that the 300C was introduced, featuring a 392 V8 generating 375 hp, laying the foundation for the current culmination.
Fast forward sixty-six years, and Chrysler is once again crafting a 300C embedded with a 392 V8 albeit producing an additional 110 hp. Regrettably, this is likely to be a one-off occurrence.
