The price for the 2023 Integra has been revealed by Acura, honoring its commitment to a starting price of approximately $30,000. The entry-level model with a CVT transmission will be priced at $31,895. However, for drivers desiring a manual transmission, they will need to opt for the top-tier A-Spec trim with the Technology Package, which raises the price to $36,895. Alternatively, there is an A-Spec Integra priced at $33,895 without the Tech Pack, but it is only available with a CVT.

In comparison, the Honda Civic Si, which serves as the basis for this car, has a post-destination price of $28,315 and offers fewer luxury features.

Acura highlights that the 200-horsepower Integra will come with a new maintenance program covering oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and select factory-scheduled maintenance for the initial two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

In my opinion, the starting price of $32,000 is reasonable, but it’s disappointing that the manual option comes with a $5,000 premium. At $37,000, the top-tier Integra is approaching the price range of the larger and more powerful TLX, which starts at $39,545. It’s also not far off from the last-gen Civic Type R’s price of $38,910 in 2021, even though that was a Type R model.

If you’re seeking an affordable performance-oriented manual sedan, the Civic Si might be a viable alternative.

Distinguishing the Integra from the Civic Si are distinct, more luxurious design elements inside and out. While the Civic is a traditional sedan with a conventional trunk, the Acura is a liftback, similar to the Kia Stinger. The Integra comes with a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument display, and the Tech Pack includes a HUD and a 16-speaker ELS audio system.

What are your thoughts? Is the Integra too costly? Would you prefer it over the Si? Should Acura offer a manual transmission in the base model?

(Hint: The correct answer to the last question is “yes.”)
