Introducing the 2022 Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner, the most opulent iteration of Bentley’s esteemed sedan to date. As the name implies, this model has been meticulously crafted by Bentley’s Mulliner bespoke coachbuilding division and is offered with any of the existing powertrains in the Flying Spur lineup. This includes the V6 hybrid, the 4.0-liter V8, or the formidable 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine.
The Mulliner edition boasts exclusive design features such as a striking double diamond front grille, 22-inch wheels equipped with self-leveling wheel caps that always remain upright, satin silver mirror caps, and Mulliner-branded side grilles. Even the fuel and oil caps have a jewel-like quality, adding a touch of luxury.
Inside, Mulliner offers an array of eight different tri-color interior options, each featuring diamond-milled trim and hand-stitched seats adorned with quilted diamonds—each seat containing precisely 712 stitches. Remarkably, Bentley dedicated 18 months to perfecting the quilting technique. Thus, it appears Bentley has kept quite busy during the pandemic, all while experiencing unprecedented sales success. Additionally, rear passengers can enjoy button-operated, veneered “picnic tables” behind the front seats, perfect for working on laptops or enjoying a leisurely meal.
The presentation of the Flying Spur Mulliner’s keys is equally luxurious; they are leather-bound and come in a bespoke box that matches the car’s interior, reminiscent of the packaging for high-end watches. Notably, the in-dash clock is reportedly sourced from Breitling.
While Bentley has yet to announce the price, the base model of the Flying Spur starts at over $200,000, leading to an estimate that the Mulliner model will likely exceed $300,000.
